Swatching crayons by value, part 1

Did you ever try swatching your crayons by value and not by color?
I wanted to force myself to think about value when choosing colors from my neocolors2 set, but it is not easy for me to see value. I get overwhelmed by color.
So, I have swatched the 82-color set of Necolors 2 and ordered them by value using a phone camera in black-and-white mode and a Grey Scale Value Finder.Â
In the following posts, I will show you what I did with the ordered swatches and how I use them when drawing.
